Sustainable Epsom and Ewell
Sustainable Epsom and Ewell welcome you to our website! If you've found your way here, you're probably already aware of climate change, and are doing things in and around your house to reduce your carbon footprint. But perhaps you want to do more and don't know which direction to go in? Or maybe you need a little help to get started. Don't worry we've tried to make a comprehensive collection of information to help you get started or to continue on your climate action journey. And if you think we've missed anything out, please let us know!
During October take part in our Future Trees Project!
Sustainable Epsom and Ewell wants to help everyone in our borough to reduce their environmental impact and live more sustainable lives.
As a group of environmentally aware residents we still find there are groups, projects, businesses and events which we wish we had known about sooner, so we hope to provide a link to all those sources to help more people in the borough to reduce their carbon footprint and connect them with the fantastic initiatives already running in our area.
We've organised the site by themes to help you find the information you need quickly. You can also find quick links to local organisations on the Local Links page. We hope to run more events in the future, details of these and national events can be found on our Events page. For a brief introduction to data for our borough and the need to act now please see here and for details of the action being taken by Epsom and Ewell Borough Council and Surrey County Council please see the Local Government page. We'll be adding some more in depth articles if you are interested in learning more about sustainability issues on our page Issues in Depth.
How to live more sustainably
If you're interested in living more sustainably and don't know where to start it can be quite daunting, there are so many different areas you could focus on. Sometimes it is easiest to start with the easy changes that take minimal effort and then move on to bigger changes. Or you could focus on a particular theme - reducing your waste, or travelling more sustainably. We have tried to share information about local initiatives that can help and inspire you on your journey to a lower impact life.
